What we never do
We do not collect, store, or transmit anything you type into the calculator. Your salary, filing status, allowances, and region are processed by JavaScript running in your browser and never leave your device. There is no login, no account, and no server-side calculation.
What the site uses
This site runs on static pages served by a content delivery network. The hosting provider may keep standard access logs — IP address, user agent, pages requested, and timestamps — for security and performance purposes, as every web host does. These logs are not tied to anything you type into the calculator.
Cookies and analytics
The site does not use advertising cookies or cross-site trackers. If privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics are enabled, they measure aggregate page views only and do not identify individuals. You can block analytics at any time with a browser extension or by disabling JavaScript; the calculator itself requires JavaScript, but the articles remain fully readable.
Links to other sites
Articles link to official sources such as the Oregon Department of Revenue, the Oregon Employment Department, the IRS, Metro, and Multnomah County. This privacy policy applies only to this site; once you follow a link, that site’s policy governs.
